Center for Strategic African Development (CENSADEV)

CENSADEV is an Africa-based, Africa-led and Africa-focused development support organization that provides technical assistance for policy implementation in Africa. It also promotes the development of continental, regional and national level strategic initiatives that have the capacity to create monumental impact on the development agenda of Africa.

One of the critical challenges confronting most African countries is bridging the gap between policy and implementation. This is often the result of weak institutional and human resource capacity.

The Center seeks to make a positive contribution towards addressing this challenge, by working with both public and private sector organizations in a variety of ways including, institutional capacity building, human resource development, program formulation and reengineering, and project execution.

In carrying out its work, the Center utilizes the experience and knowledge of African professionals and experts from around the world, most of who are members of the Africa Skills Connect, one of the flagship initiatives of the Center It also builds on the research and analytical work undertaken by other institutions at the multilateral, regional and national levels.
